Largest PV Installation in World Coming to WA?
The largest PV installation in the world might become a reality in the state of Washington, here in the U.S.A. A group called Teanaway Solar Reserve, led by investment advisor Howard Trott, announced plans to build a 75 megawatt PV or photovoltaic farm about 80 miles east of Seattle on a 400 acre plot of land. The completion date is expected to be sometime in 2011. One of the nice features of this land is the availability to a major power line about 2 miles south of the proposed site. This project is expected to use upwards of 400,000 PV modules and cost approximately $100 million. The site might also see a PV manufacturing facility nearby..
